Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated June 6, 2026
In plain English: Use Inky to create and manage legitimate listings for items you have the right to sell. Do not upload content you do not have rights to, list prohibited or illegal goods, mislead buyers, violate marketplace rules, or abuse the Service.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses Inky. By using Inky, you agree to follow this Policy. If you violate this Policy, we may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate your account, disconnect marketplace integrations, or take other action we believe is appropriate.
1. General rule
Use Inky only for lawful resale-listing purposes. You are responsible for your listings, your items, your marketplace accounts, and your compliance with all applicable laws, marketplace rules, and third-party terms.
We may choose not to support certain categories of goods or conduct even if those goods or activities are legal in some places or permitted by some marketplaces.
2. Prohibited items and listings
You may not use Inky to create, upload, draft, post, promote, or manage listings for:
- Illegal, stolen, or unsafe goods. This includes items that are illegal to sell, stolen property, recalled goods, unsafe products, or items that cannot legally be shipped, transferred, or resold.
- Counterfeit, replica, or infringing goods. This includes fake branded items, unauthorized replicas, pirated goods, trademark-infringing goods, copyright-infringing goods, or items that misuse another person’s intellectual property.
- Weapons, explosives, and dangerous materials. This includes firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, weapon parts, regulated knives, tactical weapons, hazardous chemicals, or other dangerous materials where prohibited by law, marketplace rules, or this Policy.
- Drugs, controlled substances, and related items. This includes illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, prescription medications, improperly marketed health products, or other restricted medical items.
- Alcohol, nicotine, and age-restricted goods. This includes alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products, vaping products, or other age-restricted goods unless expressly permitted by us and by the applicable marketplace.
- Adult sexual products or exploitative content. This includes sexually explicit products, sexual services, exploitative content, non-consensual intimate content, or any content involving sexual exploitation or abuse.
- Human, animal, or wildlife-related restricted goods. This includes human remains or body parts, live animals, endangered or protected wildlife products, or animal-derived products that are illegal or restricted.
- Financial, gambling, or prize-based products. This includes gambling products, raffles, lottery entries, games of chance, financial products, securities, payment instruments, or other regulated financial items where prohibited by law, marketplace rules, or this Policy.
- Documents, credentials, or access tools. This includes government IDs, fake documents, stolen credentials, passwords, account access, software keys, or tools designed to bypass security or access controls.
- Any item prohibited by a marketplace. If a marketplace does not allow an item, category, claim, image, description, or sales practice, you may not use Inky to bypass that marketplace’s rules.
3. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use Inky to create, upload, generate, post, or distribute content that:
- Is false, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or likely to confuse buyers.
- Misrepresents an item’s condition, authenticity, brand, origin, ownership, price, availability, shipping terms, return terms, or material defects.
- Infringes or misappropriates someone else’s copyright, trademark, publicity rights, privacy rights, trade secrets, or other rights.
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, abusive, invasive of privacy, or otherwise unlawful.
- Contains malware, viruses, harmful code, phishing attempts, credential harvesting, scams, or other harmful material.
- Includes personal information about another person without lawful authority or permission.
4. Marketplace and integration rules
You may not use Inky to violate, evade, or work around the terms, policies, technical limits, category rules, listing rules, fee rules, rate limits, or enforcement decisions of any marketplace or third-party service.
You may not use Inky to manipulate marketplace search, reviews, rankings, buyer communications, seller metrics, auctions, offers, promotions, or other marketplace systems.
If a marketplace rejects, removes, suppresses, limits, or flags a listing, you may not use Inky to repeatedly repost, disguise, or bypass that marketplace decision.
5. Responsible use of AI features
Inky may generate listing text, pricing suggestions, categories, item details, and edited images to help you. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, verifying, and approving all AI-generated output before you publish or rely on it.
You may not use AI features to:
- Create deceptive, fake, or misleading listings.
- Hide defects, alter images in a way that misrepresents an item, or falsely improve the apparent condition, authenticity, size, color, or features of an item.
- Generate fake reviews, fake buyer messages, fake seller history, fake authenticity claims, fake certificates, or fake documentation.
- Produce content that violates this Policy, our Terms, marketplace rules, or applicable law.
6. Abuse of the Service
You may not:
- Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service, our systems, or our providers’ systems.
- Probe, scan, test, or attack the vulnerability or security of the Service, except through a program we expressly authorize in writing.
- Upload viruses, malware, malicious code, or harmful files.
- Interfere with, overload, disrupt, degrade, or attempt to bypass the Service, including by using bots, scripts, crawlers, scrapers, or automated tools not authorized by us.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build or train a competing product, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service, users, marketplaces, or third-party services except as expressly allowed by us and the applicable third party.
- Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, mass postings, or misleading content at scale.
- Create multiple accounts to evade limits, suspensions, enforcement actions, payments, or marketplace restrictions.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy. We may remove or disable content, refuse to publish or sync listings, limit or disable features, suspend or terminate accounts, revoke marketplace connections, preserve evidence, notify affected marketplaces or service providers, or report activity to law enforcement or regulators where we believe it is appropriate or required.
We are not required to monitor all content or activity, and we are not responsible for user listings or marketplace decisions. However, we may review content or activity when we believe it may violate this Policy, our Terms, marketplace rules, or applicable law.
8. Appeals
If you believe we took action against your account or content by mistake, you may contact us at [email protected]. We may review the issue at our discretion, but we are not required to restore content, features, marketplace connections, or account access.
9. Reporting abuse
To report content, listings, accounts, or behavior that may violate this Policy, email [email protected]. For copyright complaints specifically, email [email protected].
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Inky after the updated Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated Policy.
