Get-InkySimpleConsign centralises the vendor mall's POS, rent and reporting. Inky Mall OS runs that counter too — and takes the same stock online, one inventory.
SimpleConsign describes itself as an all-in-one solution for antique and vendor malls that centralises point-of-sale, inventory, rent collection and reporting, automates booth rentals and payouts, and gives vendors real-time access through a vendor portal — inventory, sales tracking and tag printing, with the same remote access for consignors. It is a mature platform aimed squarely at the multi-vendor store, and that is the job it took on. (Checked on their site, 2026-09-02.)
The counter work is shared ground — booths, rent, vendor payouts, a vendor portal, labels, cashier logins, reporting. The difference is what the stock can do next. An item taken in at the counter is the same item Inky can photograph, write up and price for eBay and the rest, without being typed in twice. SimpleConsign's own materials for antique malls describe the store side — POS, rent, payouts, vendor access — and don't cover marketplace listings, photo work or cross-listing; that isn't the job it set out to do.
Mall OS is a desktop app for Windows and macOS, and it is offline-first: the register keeps taking sales when the connection drops and catches up when it returns. SimpleConsign's antique-mall materials don't describe how it behaves during an outage, so that's a question worth putting to them directly rather than taking our word for it — a checkout line shouldn't depend on a router either way.
Inky Mall OS is bought once with a small yearly licence, every vendor included at any number, and the optional online half is a flat monthly add-on rather than a charge per head.

SimpleConsign has years of multi-vendor stores running on it, and an installed base that has already answered "will this hold up on a busy Saturday?" — the one thing Inky can't hand you today. What Inky can hand you is the rest of the job.
